Thanks to its efficient public transport system, Barcelona city centre is really easy to navigate. It’s easy to hop on the metro to get from one attraction to the next, and there are plenty of buses that service all parts of the city.
The Hola BCN! Travel Card lets you make the most of the public transport in Barcelona and get from one place to the next in a quick and easy fashion.
You can purchase a ticket for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days, and it will become valid as soon as you activate it on either the metro, bus, or train service. From then it’s active for the number of consecutive days you’ve bought it for.
What You Get with the Hola BCN! Travel Card
Free travel
The main selling point of the Hola BCN! Travel Card is that you can get free transport around the entire city centre of Barcelona, as well as to the airport and back. This includes changeovers onto different forms of transport with different companies. Tickets are valid in zone 1, which is where all the major attractions are.
Valid on all kinds of transport
There are several different ways to get around Barcelona, and the Hola BCN! Travel Card lets you make the most of this. You can use it on the metro, TMB buses, the trams, commuter trains (FGC), and the regional trains (Rodalies). This means you can get from one place to the next as quickly as possible without having to stick to one form of transport (difficult, say, if you’re trying to get across town on a bus at rush hour).
Please note the Hola BCN! Travel Card isn’t valid on the NitBus (you’ll have to buy a separate ticket for this) or the Bus Turistic.
Free airport train ride
When you land at Barcelona El Prat Airport, the Hola BCN! Travel Card gives you a free train ride to the inner city, or a free ride on bus 46 into the centre of town.
A metro map
If you buy the Hola BCN! Travel Card by mail (see purchase options below) you’ll also get a free metro map included.
Where to Buy the Hola BCN! Travel Card
There are two options for buying the Hola BCN! Travel Card. Firstly, you can order it via fast delivery mail so you can have it in your hands before you even land in Barcelona.
When you choose this shipping method you’ll also get a metro map included and you don’t have to find a tourist information centre to pick it up from once you land. The card becomes valid on the first day you use it.
Alternatively, you can get the Hola BCN! Travel Card sent to you by email which leaves out the shipping and handling fees. With this method you have to pick up your card from the airport or one of the pick up places in Barcelona’s city centre. Again, the card is valid as soon as you first use it.
